Meet Lalita Friedman
Specialist in Therapeutic and Oncology Massage in Frome
This practice began with a diagnosis
In 2021, I was told I had breast cancer. The months that followed were filled with procedures, waiting rooms, exhaustion, and a deep disconnection from my own body. During treatment, I found myself searching for comfort. Not advice. Not supplements. Not sympathy. Just the feeling of being cared for. Held. Human.
But there were very few places I could go. I was often turned away from massage therapists who didn’t know how to treat someone going through cancer.
That experience stayed with me. Once I recovered, I retrained in oncology massage so I could give people what I couldn’t find myself: calm, light, restorative touch that supports the nervous system without overwhelming the body.
The return to massage
I first trained as a Clinical Aromatherapist in 2004, while working in Visual Merchandising in London. Massage was something I always felt drawn to. It made sense to my hands. After moving to Frome and taking time to raise my family, I returned to practice in 2024 with more clarity and purpose than ever before.
My work is rooted in real care. No rushing. No sales pitch. Just skilled, intentional touch that helps people feel more at ease in their body. I offer a range of massage and facial therapies, tailored to what you need in the moment—and what your body is ready to receive.
Oncology Massage
This isn’t just a treatment. It’s real support when everything else feels clinical.
Oncology massage is a specialist therapy developed for people undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment. It’s safe. It’s deeply supportive. And it meets you where you are.
Every session is adapted to your energy, comfort levels and boundaries. The pressure is gentle. The room is quiet. You’re given time. There are no assumptions about what you should be able to do. Just a space to breathe, rest, and be cared for.
You don’t need to wait until treatment is over. In fact, many of my clients come during chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or while adjusting to life after surgery. It helps with pain, anxiety, and the sense of being "outside" your own body.
This work matters. Because when you’re going through the hardest thing you’ve ever faced, you deserve to feel human again.

A quiet place to reconnect
My treatment room in Frome is calm, grounded, and earthy. It reflects everything I value: nature, care, and simplicity. I work five days a week and always allow time between clients so no one is rushed or treated like a number.
Therapeutic massage is powerful, even in its gentlest form. Especially when it meets you exactly where you are.
Whether you’re in recovery, in remission, or simply in need of rest, you are welcome here.
